Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1962 Shelby AC Cobra 260 (Pearl Yellow) - ETO RLG18123
From the moment the Shelby AC 260 was first tested in February 1962, the car Shelby named 'Cobra' fulfilled a promise which made it nearly mythical. In 1962 the 260 was completed in Santa Fe Springs, California, and first driven the very same day. The car was painted Pearl Yellow and shipped to the New York Auto Show in March 1962. It caused a great stir, yielding enough deposits to fund production. Within two months, the car was repainted a number of times in various colours and offered to the journalists who believed there was a stable of production units. This detailed and accurate miniature is designed in 1:18 scale. It is over 8.5 inches long with a fully accurate all die-cast metal body and chassis, and a superb 11 step paint finish. It is hand assembled from over 250 intricate parts, many from photo-etched metal parts. Beneath the hood with its accurate prop is the Ford 260 c.i. engine which generated enough power to beat almost any other car on the road. The interior was designed for road and track; with the greatest care taken to reproduce Shelby's cushioned leather seats and racing harnesses, the wood-rimmed steering wheel, and bright-beveled gauges. Under the car is an accurate suspension with functional steering and realistic coil-springs. The trunk, held open by an accurate and realistic support, houses a real wire-spoked wheel with precisely formed spare tire like the four on the car. Everywhere you look at this model, it is a feast for the eyes!

Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1962 Shelby AC Cobra 260 (Viking Blue Metallic) - ETO RLG18124
A performance driving school was a revolutionary idea in 1962, but few people are better at breaking new ground than Carroll Shelby! He had high performance cars and the nearby Riverside racetrack at his fingertips. The Carroll Shelby School of High Performance Driving was formed and served as a forerunner of many similar schools in existence today. Countless young drivers took their turns behind the wheel of the 'T' car in hope of honing their driving skills under the watchful eyes of Carroll Shelby and his chief instructors, Pete Brock and John Timanus. This detailed and accurate miniature is designed in 1:18 scale. It is over 8.5 inches long with a fully accurate all die-cast metal body and chassis, and a superb 11 step paint finish. Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1966 Chaparral 2E Can Am Prototype - ETO RLG18160
A few short weeks after its debut, Hap Sharp would drive the 2/2C to victory at Riverside. The Los Angeles Times Grand Prix at Riverside was the biggest race of the year, and over the first 38 laps, the often underrated Sharp moved up from 4th to the head of the field. Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II (Sebring #2) - ETO RLG18042
Dan Gurney had been asked to set the pace for the team during qualifying. He set a new qualifying record in the Shelby American-entered Mk?II with a time of 2:54.9. Gurney proceeded to follow the team strategy: he and Grant would lead the race, lapping at 2:59.0 to 3:00.0 in order to push the Chaparrals and Ferraris to their breaking point. The stage was set to take a convincing victory until Gurney rounded the final corner of the final lap; Gurney's engine blew! He pushed the car across the finish line, only to be disqualified for doing so. This definitive model replica is designed in 1:18 scale. It is over 10.5 inches long with a die-cast metal body and chassis, simulated aluminum tub, and a superb 11 step paint finish. It is hand assembled from over 300 scaled precision parts. Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1967 Chaparral 2F Can Am (Daytona) - ETO RLG18170 (Arrives September 2003)
Like Ford with the GT40 Mk IV, Chaparral had to make a critical choice: to develop the new 2F around a 1650lb minimum weight limit and use a 427ci engine, or opt for the lighter 1540lb formula that only allowed the use of a 327ci motor. A computer simulation was run to pit the two hypothetical configurations against one another at Daytona Speedway. It was concluded that the heavier car with a 100bhp advantage would be the winner, and so the decision was made. The 2F was only in the early stages of its development by the time Daytona was to be run. The massive rear wing was fixed into downforce position, the struts were not yet faired in, and the trap door device mounted in the nose section was inoperative. Despite being far from finalized, it shocked the racing world with its advanced aerodynamics and futuristic looks. Each wonderful miniature replica features 7 to 9 opening parts depending on body configuration and a wealth of intricate detail. Furious detail and finish have been pushed to even higher Exoto limits! The removable body panels fit together with unparalleled precision. Butterfly doors open on piano hinges that are flush with the bodywork, and the drivers door is held open by a functioning hydraulic shock. Photo-etch metal and genuine wire mesh parts add subtle detail to an aerodynamically efficient body and a glorious paint finish. Beneath the skin you will find miles of real metal wire, genuine braided lines, functioning steering and suspension, accurately routed air ducts including flexible brake cooling hoses, machined aluminum brake discs that turn within fixed calipers, accurate chassis with all the Chaparral aerodynamic tricks, fabric seat belts with photo-etch hardware, and more.

Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1967 Chaparral 2F Can Am (Le Mans) - ETO RLG18171 (Arrives September 2003)
Naturally, developments throughout the season had altered the radical 2F into an increasingly quick and agile competitor. Jim Hall's Chaparral team wasn't one to sit around waiting for the competition to catch up either. For Le Mans, the pair of 2Fs featured several new developments including wing struts that were now fully faired. The pair of cars entered for the classic race were identically prepared. The Le Mans-specification Chaparral 2F was its ultimate development. Had the FIA not decided to limit engine displacement to 5.0 litres for the 1968 season, Chaparral would certainly have continued to develop the 2F into the unbeatable machine it clearly had the potential to become. Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 1977 Porsche 934 RSR (Brumos #61) - ETO RLG18099
The Porsche 934 had to remain close to the 930 Turbo specifications to qualify for Group 4 competition. But the 934 was the first racing Porsche to use water cooling for its cylinder heads. The 934 also used brakes from the famous 917 and BBS wheels, since Porsche didn't have 16 inch wheels of its own. The cars were invincible throughout the 1976 and 1977 seasons, winning race after race. Competing at Le Mans produced GT class victories for the 934 in 1977 and 1979. They also proved to be one of Porsche's most privately entered, with some 400 cars being produced. This collectors quality model is designed in 1:18 scale. It is over 9.5 inches long with a die-cast metal body and chassis, and a superb 11 step paint finish. It is hand assembled from over 350 scaled precision parts including rubber like Dunlop racing tires with a genuine tread pattern. Special features include full opening parts to showcase an unprecedented level of furious detail: fully wired and plumbed Flat-Six Turbo Boxer engine, water and oil cooling radiators in photo-etch, fully detailed cockpit, water pipes, hydraulic hoses, and electrical wires. Functioning features include: true-to-the-original suspension system with genuine coil springs and dampers, rotating disc brakes within fixed calipers, and lovely removable BBS wheels. Die Cast * Exoto 1/18 Chaparral 2 Fully Restored Car - ETO RLG19141
Looking back at it now, the story of Jim Hall and his legendary Chaparral race cars seems like a myth. Fortunately, Chaparral Racing under the direction of Jim Hall, has set out to restore the Chaparral race cars. Troy Rogers, one of the original craftsmen who helped Jim Hall and Hap Sharp build and refine the white Road Runners, as they are known, has brought them back to life. Today, the beautiful Chaparral 2 is restored and looking exactly as she did when she stormed the race tracks of the world! Well, there's one exception: the Firestone tires that were originally used are no longer available, so the restored car rolls on Goodyear rubber. This exquisite model is designed in 1:18 scale. It is over 9 inches long with a die-cast body parts, die-cast monocoque frame, and a superb 11 step paint finish. It is hand assembled from over 350 scaled precision parts. Die Cast - - Exoto 1/18 1963 Shelby AC Cobra 260 (#198 First Winning Cobra) - ETO RLG18126 (Arrives September 2003)
For 1963, Shelby hired a young tiger by the name of Dave MacDonald. He was anxious to get a full-time professional ride and happily accepted what Shelby was able to pay. The Californian was already well aware of the Cobra's potential, having watched Cobra taillights show the way around Riverside for an hour in 1962. In that race, Shelby had seen his potential and was willing to take a chance with the relatively unknown driver. When the regional races at Riverside were held in January 1963, Shelby and his team had worked the bugs out of the Cobra and could sense that their first victory was just around the corner. MacDonald, together with teammate Ken Miles, trounced the Corvettes, driving off into the distance. The pair of Cobras were simply the class of the field. So much so, that Miles took advantage of his massive performance advantage to stop in the pits for a drink only to exit and re-pass the Corvettes without even breaking a sweat. Exoto presents a stunningly detailed and accurate miniature of the first race winning Cobra. Beneath the hood with its accurate prop is the Ford 260 c.i. engine which generated enough power to beat almost any other car on the road. The interior was designed for road and track; Exoto's team has taken the greatest care to reproduce Shelby's cushioned leather seats and racing harnesses, the wood-rimmed steering wheel, and bright-beveled gauges. Under the car is an accurate suspension with functional steering and realistic coil-springs. The trunk, held open by an accurate and realistic support, houses a real wire-spoked wheel with precisely formed spare tire like the four on the car. Die Cast - - Exoto 1/18 1963 Shelby AC Cobra 289 Hardtop (Red) - ETO RLG18129 (Arrives September 2003)
Starting with the 76th chassis delivered from AC Cars in Thames Ditton, England, to Shelby American in Venice, California, the Cobra skin had evolved slightly to incorporate a number of minor updates. The new bodywork featured simple yet striking side vents to help remove engine heat. To this day, the side vents help visually identify the 289 Mark II Cobra from its predecessor. Most notable, however, was the introduction of the newly developed Ford 289 c.i. V8 motor. While Shelby had been busy selling and racing the first Cobra Roadster, Ford occupied themselves with the development of the 260 engine into a unit that displaced 289 cubic inches and developed 11 more horsepower in stock trim. Customers buying a Cobra 289 from Shelby American could, however, have something a little more special; optional modifications yielded as much as 370 bhp from the new Cobra. At the time, Shelby American claimed that the 289-powered Cobra was the fastest production car in the world! Exoto's Cobra 289 Roadster finished in authentic red on black interior features factory options that only became available with the 289: front grille guard and rear bumper guard, adjustable wind wings (side windows), sun visors, competition seat belts, and white side wall tires. This item features the optional hard top that is a rare and sought after item now. Though many owners had their hard tops repainted with a high lustre finish, the removable fibreglass roof was originally supplied in the dull finish as shown on our exacting replica.

Die Cast - - Exoto 1/18 1978 Porsche 935 Turbo (Brumos #99) - ETO RLG18108 (Arrives November 2003)
The 935 was the ultimate development of the 911. In 1976 a single turbocharger helped the wildly modified flat-6 put out 590 bhp at 7,900 rpm. For short races, a higher turbo boost yielded well over 600 bhp! The end result was one of the most competitive sports racers in the history of motorsport; 5 world championships and 32 major victories between 1976 and 1981, including Le Mans and Daytona. Exoto has captured the soul of this legendary racer in a beautiful 1:18 replica featuring the uniquely agressive whale tail, square back aerodynamic body style, and slant nose treatment. Under the detachable hood is an unprecedented level of detail in the fuel cell, fuel hoses, battery, and more! A fully wired and plumbed turbo-charged flat-6 Boxer motor fills the compact engine bay. This magnificent replica sits on true-to-the-original functioning suspension with genuine coil springs and dampers, rotating disc brakes within fixed calipers, working steering mechanism, and more! Hand assembled from over 350 precision scaled parts. Over 10.5 inches long.

Technical superiority, pure and simple, led the C9 to record the fastest lap times in 12 out of 20 races, earn fifteen podium finishes and score brilliant 1st, 2nd and 5th place finishes at 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans. The support and efforts of Peter Sauber were paramount to the return of Mercedes-Benz to international racing in 1988. The C9 won 5 of 11 major races that year. The chassis is reproduced faithfully. The doors open in the precise motion of the real C9; the front and rear body panels are removable, unveiling an unprecedented level of intricate detail. The engine, gearbox, identification plate, gas filler, simulated hose clamps, spark plugs and electrical components are all there. Nothing has been overlooked or left out! The independant suspensions are guided through the upper and lower triangular transverse control arms. The upper wishbone, at the front axle, is seperated into two arms.
